Eye Consultants of Silicon Valley is pleased to announce the association of Dr. Dipali V. Apte, MD, PhD (in Biophysics).  Dr. Apte has over 15 years of experience in the care of general ophthalmic, glaucoma, and cataract patients, with emphasis on providing specialty glaucoma consultations and premium cataract surgery.

Dr. Apte completed her medical and graduate education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Campaign, and completed her ophthalmology residency at prestigious Duke University.   She then completed a glaucoma fellowship at the renowned Washington University Eye Center.  Dr. Apte is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and former Chair of the Glaucoma Division for Kaiser Permanente Northern California

Dr. Apte will provide comprehensive ophthalmic services and state-of-the-art cataract and glaucoma consultations and treatment.   Throughout her career Dr. Apte has distinguished herself by taking on even the most complicated glaucoma cases and providing the latest in surgical techniques.  Dr. Apte will be one of the only glaucoma specialists in our area who also offers femto-laser-assisted cataract surgery.  As you know, the femto laser may provide significant advantages for many cataract patients.  Dr. Apte also has extensive expertise in the latest glaucoma surgical techniques, including the various techniques in Micro-Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS), which have revolutionized glaucoma care, and may also sometimes be performed in conjunction with cataract surgery.  

Dr. Apte fills the most important need for our referring doctors and our patients, and maybe the most important need in our wider community—specialized glaucoma care.
